Gold Coast Marathon help me make each km matter
Gold Coast Marathon help me make each km matter
Story
On 5 July 2026, I’ll be lining up at the start of the Gold Coast Full Marathon.
42.2km. One goal. But this run is about so much more than crossing a finish line.
I’ve chosen to dedicate this marathon to Safe Steps, an organisation that provides critical support to individuals and families affected by family and domestic violence. For many people, Safe Steps is the first point of contact in moments of fear, crisis, and uncertainty — offering safety, support, and a path forward when it’s needed most.
Training for a marathon is tough, but it’s a privilege. The discomfort I’ll face on race day is nothing compared to the challenges faced daily by those escaping violence. That’s why I want this run to mean something.
By donating, you’re not just supporting me — you’re helping provide:
• crisis support
• safe accommodation pathways
• 24/7 assistance for those who need it most
Every kilometre I run is for someone who deserves safety, dignity, and hope.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send some encouragement along the way, I’d be incredibly grateful. Let’s turn this marathon into something bigger than a run.
Let’s make a real impact — together.
